Scheme rules

The Scheme Rules provide new applicants, existing scheme members and service providers with a clear guide to the standards that all members are bound by.

This document (available for download, below) provides a guide to the procedures for application, audit, certification, complaints and appeals and should be read in conjunction with the relevant Pork Scheme Modules to understand a member’s responsibilities under the scheme.

Land in the UK is highly suited to livestock. Our established grasslands are the 2nd largest store of carbon in the UK – unlike livestock production abroad that relies on clearing existing forests. We won’t stop climate change by downsizing this kind of UK production.
