BMPA to host webinar on using T Level qualifications for meat companies

Workforce
June 26, 2026

BMPA has been exploring opportunities to help members engage with T Levels, a relatively new technical qualification for 16–19 year olds, which could better support workforce development within the meat processing sector.

There is significant flexibility available within the programme which means that placements can be designed around a wide range of business functions, including engineering, automation, food safety, quality assurance, sustainability, technical operations, packaging, production management and environmental compliance. Employers can work with education providers to develop placements that reflect their own skills requirements, operational environment and future recruitment needs.

To help members better understand the opportunities that T Levels can offer, BMPA will be hosting a meat industry-specific webinar on 23 July, 12:30–13:30. The session will cover the basics on how T Levels work, how they can fit into a meat processing environment and the support available to employers. It’s your opportunity to explore what’s on offer and ask questions.
