We were interested to see that a ‘factory farming playset’ created by World Animal Protection is one of the exhibits in the Science Museum’s Future of Food exhibition, which opened yesterday and runs until 4 January 2026.
The wider exhibition seeks to demonstrate how our food gets from field to plate and how food production must change to protect the planet. We haven’t yet visited the exhibition but we’d be keen to see if it takes an even handed approach to larger farming operations. As we recently argued, increasing the size of a farm can often mean increasing the space that animals have because it allows for lower stocking densities than some older, smaller farms.
