We were saddened to hear of the death of Adam Muggoch, a highly respected and longstanding figure in the Scottish meat industry.
Adam was a Director of Scotbeef and, for a period, joint Managing Director alongside Ian Galloway. He played a central role in developing the family business into one of the industry’s leading meat processors, serving both domestic and export markets.
His contribution extended well beyond Scotbeef. Adam was an active and valued member of the SAMW Executive Council, a strong supporter of the organisation and its members, and served on a number of industry committees, including the former BMMA. He was also a highly regarded contributor to the MLC Research Steering Committee.
Remembered for his experience, commitment and positive contribution to the wider industry, Adam was a true stalwart of the Scottish meat sector. He will be fondly remembered by many colleagues and friends across the industry and will be sorely missed.
