The UK’s meat industry is set to benefit from an £80 million trade opportunity following the lifting of import bans on British beef and poultry by the Philippines. Recent trade talks between the two nations, held under the Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO), have strengthened economic ties and reopened key markets for UK exporters. With trade barriers lifted, the UK is well-positioned to expand its presence in one of Asia’s fastest-growing economies.
