A debate in Parliament this week underscored the cross-party consensus on the importance of preventing Food and Mouth Disease from entering the UK. While MPs voiced ongoing concerns, particularly regarding Northern Ireland and illegal imports, the minister responsible, Daniel Zeichner expressed confidence in the UK’s preparedness while pledging to address weaknesses in the system through continued investment and collaboration.
