AHDB loses a staunch champion of British food producers
We were sorry to hear this week that AHDB's CEO, Graham Wilkinson is to step down at the end of the year. He brought with him the perfect mix of science-based rigour, motivational enthusiasm and a drive to promote the reputation of British meat.
His leadership injected a noticeable energy and cohesion to the team at AHDB which helped to re-energise their work to promote the industry and counter the ongoing flood of misinformation surrounding meat. Most importantly, He gave the levy payers what they wanted, and what AHDB's remit has always been - to champion the meat and wider food and farming industry both here and abroad.
We're sad to see Graham go, but we look forward to working with his successor to continue this good work and with the new Chair Emily Norton.
