This week, BMPA’s John Powell attended a gathering of more than 2500 people at the American Embassy Fourth of July Grand American Jubilee, which marked the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America. He joined guests from across government, diplomacy, business and culture to celebrate the enduring relationship we have with the US.
In addition to discussions with many industry stakeholders, Defra and other Government colleagues, John was able to spend some time speaking with the Defra Secretary of State during which he was able, again, to reiterate the importance of the meat processing sector to the UK food supply chain.
We are the UKs largest trade body for the meat industry and provide expert advice on trade issues, bespoke technical advice and access to government policy makers
